Fund-raising

There are three different aspects to fund-raising at FMS:

  • The Annual Campaigns bring the School its most significant income.
  • Fun Fund-raisers entail some time and money on your part and bring FMS some profit but we want the spirit to be that of fun. When the time and effort become too great and it is no longer fun we want you to stop.
  • Painless Fund-raisers.

The Campaigns. This is the most important fund-raising activity of the School. We hope everyone in our school community can help as they are able.

  • Annual Giving is our yearly campaign to support the School's financial base. You can designate how you'd like your gift to be directed or you can direct it to "where most needed."

Fun Fund-raisers. Several other fund-raisers bring good to the School and we hope they also bring satisfaction back to the participants. We want to avoid them becoming a burden, and so hope you participate only in the spirit of community fun and back away if/when the effort becomes burdensome. In this category:

  • Pizza Fridays
  • Sally Foster Gift-Wrap
  • Auction

Painless Fund-raisers. Bring some money or equipment to the School without spending additional money of your own:

  • Newspaper Recycling. Bring your old newspapers to the red and green bin to the north of our building. Invite your friends to add theirs. Every time the bin is full, FMS gets a check for approximately $40.
  • Boxtops for Education help purchase supplies. Each Boxtop brings FMS 15 cents.
  • Campbell's Soup Labels can be exchanged for school equipment.
  • Grocery Receipts. This year, both Giant and Safeway have systems whereby you sign up once to designate your school and everytime you shop, we get credit. Shopper's Food Warehouse may still do this as well.
  • Target Guest Card.
