Friends Meeting School actively seeks a diversity of backgrounds and talents among its students and staff and admits students of any race to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded to students at the School. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions and financial aid policies, staff hiring, athletic and other school-administered programs.
The deadline for first consideration of applications is February 15. Following that date, applicants are accepted on a first-come first-served basis as long as space is available and the applicant appears to be a good match for the school. Students may be enrolled during the school year, providing a vacancy exists.
Special consideration in admissions and financial aid is given to Quakers, children of school staff, and children who help bring racial and cultural diversity to the School's population. An attempt is made to achieve gender balance in each classroom. Friends Meeting School also seeks students:
** who can contribute positively to the school community,
** who can succeed academically, and
** whose families support the values of the school.
