Before and After Care

dance-2

Friends Meeting School offers extended care for all enrolled students before and after school. Students may be dropped off as early as 7:30 AM and are supervised in a safe environment until their classes begin. Students may remain after school until 6 PM and are similarly supervised.  The activities students engage in during this time often depends on the age of the student. Younger students generally play or help the supervising teacher with minor chores. Older students sometimes assist or play with younger students or work on homework. Some older students prefer to perform community service during this time under the supervision of the administrative staff.

Extended care is an additional service and is not included in tuition. Before Care and After Care may be purchased for an entire year or semester, together or individually. Extended Care may also be used on a drop-in basis and is billed monthly at an hourly rate.

The classes usually meet for an hour or two after school on a given day of the week. These are independent of the After-School program and are usually taught by a faculty member. Students may sign up for a single class or a series of classes as they are announced. Fees vary depending on the class.
