Friends Meeting School boasts a vibrant Student Government Association (SGA). It promises to provide students a meaningful, hands-on experience with student governance, advocacy and representation.
The focus of the organization is highlighted in the preamble of their Constitution.
We the members of the Student Government Association, administration, and faculty of Friends Meeting School, in order to encourage a cooperative spirit, develop constructive student leadership, and promote student well-being, do hereby establish this constitution.
Meetings are held weekly during a Flex/Lunch time period. Meetings are open to all students, grades 5-12.
Students are coached on the importance of of representing the views of all students in deliberations with the school's administration, faculty and parents. Involvement in the SGA allows participants the opportunity to advocate for positions favored by the student body.
