FAQ
Friends Meeting School Annual Giving is a vital part of our school's funding. Without it, we would not be able to provide the many valuable resources and programs that our students and families have come to expect. Like all independent schools, we rely on the generosity of our current families, alumni, grandparents, alumni parents, and friends to help us bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of educating our students. Annual Giving covers several thousand dollars of the cost for educating each student; it supports our programs, while keeping tuition affordable for as many families as possible. By making a donation to Annual Giving, you can have a meaningful and positive impact on the experiences of our students and faculty.
As an independent school, Friends Meeting School does not receive support from local, state, or federal tax dollars. Instead, we rely on tuition and the generosity of our community to fund our programs and initiatives. We strive to keep our tuition as low as possible, so that it covers only our core curriculum. This approach ensures that our school remains accessible to families from diverse backgrounds. To provide our students with the exceptional learning experiences that are a hallmark of independent education, we depend on fundraising efforts such as Annual Giving. Contributions to Annual Giving help us enhance our academic offerings, maintain small class sizes, provide opportunities for field trips, and support our performing and visual arts programs, athletics, clubs, and other important initiatives.
